so wappie.. there are 35 separate .rar files here as opposed to one .dmg or .iso that I can burn with disk utility. How do I burn these files as to make a bootable leopard DVD? please advise. I downloaded and am seeding as we speak

This is not an Apple release. It's a patched version of OS X that is able to run on some PC's. If you're looking for Leopard 10.5.6 for your mac, just get/buy any version of Leopard and update in to 10.5.6 via software update.

I have the same issue...Kernel panic When I download and try to mount dmg file...something about disk image helper.....
I also get this message :("Empty path in "com.apple.repair-permissions.pkg-group" receipt.") when doing a permission repair:

For those having issues with the DMG Kernel panic, I came accross this link and it solved my problem. No more crash when i download and mount an image file. It has other useful bits as well...Hope it helps...

alright can someone explain in a little more detail. so far i've downloaded the usb portables includng a LIVE one which were supposed to be for PC's. Nope! It's not like a Bart PE boot disk at all.

SO you just burn it and boot up with it in a PC and NOT a Mac??? Nothing else needed? I am tempted to just do the EFI and real OS X retail boot route. None of these even boot up on a PC, let alone burn the image. Those crap USB releases are Mac images to begin with.

FYI this does not have a readme file in the rar file or the iso when you burn it. There are instructions in Mac files as usual.

We just bought a Psystar OpenPro. An Amtec P182.
I've had some trouble and had to do a reinstall the OS. But then I did not have the restoredisk of Psystar. I looked and readed a lot and tried this one.
I installled it and no problem at all. Works perfect!.
Great work!! It also seem te be faster than when you've installed the Native Leopard as it comes from Psystar.

I installed this just to try ilife 09, and it works great, I just don't like leopard, going back to tiger
XxX rev 2 10.4.11 is rock solid on my hack better than the other 3 real macs I own..... my 2 cents VIVA LA HACKINTOSH
